Peter and Allie rally with rosé on a hot day. With one of their favorite summer sipper's, The Spirit of Pinot Noir Rosé from Ghost Hill Cellars, they taste a '10 and a '12 back to back. One bottle is serious, while the other is sassy. Both, however, are brilliant.

Tune in and tip back with Peter and Allie as they pour on their front porch with a bottle of Flanagan 2009 Cabernet.
While Allie picks up on the dark fruit notes (ripe blueberry ink, raspberry cologne & black currant puree),
Peter finds flavors rooted in the vineyard's volcanic soil in terms of concrete & asphalt.

BUCKLE UP.

Allie's not a fan of drinking alone. However, some days call for it. This day in particular called for Imbue Bittersweet Vermouth from Gaston, Oregon. Not a Vermouth drinker? Well, this episode may lead to your conversion.

If you've never had a 'lemgerine' (lemon + tangerine), buckle up. Imbue serves up aromatics with serious hang time. Prepare your palate for saturation that's smooth to start and sharper on the finish.

Straight up by itself or mixed in a cocktail, it's nothing short of spectacular.

Ever smelled a cranberry carnation?!
No, Allie hasn't either. However, if such a hybrid of a flower existed, she imagines it would have a scent that would taste like this. While Peter has a different description for this bottle of 2008 Pinot Noir from CAW, they both agree that it's lovely with beautiful cranberry & pomegranate notes.

Up on the roof, Peter & Allie bid adieu to Winter and welcome Spring with a bottle of beautiful Pinot Noir from Winter's Hill Vineyard. Bing cherry, currant and all kinds of big ripe fruit are presented with a huge level of acid that nearly causes Allie to topple off the top of the house.

Tune in and tip back (but not too far back if you happen to be on a rooftop) with this lovely red wine from Oregon's Dundee Hills.

What does red cherry syrup, black licorice coated in powdered sugar & a pet rock have in common? This episode. Yep. LOTS going on for both Peter and Allie on the nose & on the palate. Tune in and tip up with the 2009 CloudLift Cellars Ascent. A blend of Cabernet Franc (72%), Merlot (23%) & Cabernet Sauvignon (5%), this wine from winemaker Tom Stangeland gives Peter and Allie a lot to speak about as they sip.

Does size really matter? This question has been long debated (no pun intended). In this episode, Peter & Allie address the issue head on. With a 5 liter of Syrah from PAX, huge flavor profiles maintain the same magnitude possessed by the bottle's size. Tune in and tip up with Peter & Allie, as they define the PAX 2002 Obsidian Syrah in words of their own.

This My Wine Words episode gives you a look at TWO Pinots in ONE episode. Both from Dion Vineyards, the 2009 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir & 2009 Chehalem Mountains Winemaker Reserve give Peter and Allie a lot to talk about. With huge depth of character, their traits could be trademarked as they are so profound. On the nose and on the palate, their flavors reverberate as opposed to echo. Cheers to great Pinot Noir from Dion Vineyards!

In two words, here it is. Effervescent loveliness. In addition to that, Banfi's Rosa Regale provides red cherry hard candies, ripe raspberries, rose petals and violets on the nose followed by strawberry-raspberry simple syrup flavors on the palate in a very bright & light fashion. Cheers to a wine that pairs perfectly with dark chocolate!
Legend has it that both Julius Caesar and Marc Antony gifted Brachetto d’Acqui to Cleopatra as a means of extending their friendship to something more romantic. In turn, Cleopatra used the wine to, um, “enhance” encounters she had with her lovers.

Here's a two-part adjective to define this wine "super-fantastic". Join Peter and Allie as they sip and speak about the 2010 'O.P.P.' from Mouton Noir. Winemaker, Andre Hueston Mack, has created a wine with aromatics & flavors of jasmine oil, cranberry sauce, red raspberry & candied fruit. Put the essence of Pinot Noir in a bottle, and here's what you get.
